Marquee double-header match-ups and sensational performance by Ivete Sangalo to highlight the sixth annual Florida Cup
Bundesliga Exhibition game in St. Petersburg to kick off festivities

 Orlando, Fla. – October 17, 2019 – Orlando once again becomes the preferred destination for international soccer as officials with the 2020 Florida Cup, the sixth edition of Florida’s largest annual sports and music festival, announced today the match schedule for the event featuring unique match-ups that have become the hallmark of the competition. The event will feature two double-header match days at Exploria Stadium in Downtown Orlando.

Special Performance by Ivete Sangalo on Jan. 18
In addition to the excitement on the pitch from both matches on Jan. 18, fans will be treated to a sensational performance by Brazilian superstar Ivete Sangalo after the conclusion of the first match between Spartak Moscow and Palmeiras. Last year’s performance had the entire stadium dancing and singing as Sangalo performed a medley of her hits. The performance is included in the match admission.

“We are thrilled to announce the 2020 Florida Cup schedule which feature intense competition and unique match-ups pitting some teams against each other for the first time in history,” said Florida Cup CEO Ricardo Villar. “The festivities kick off with a special, Bundesliga exhibition between Frankfurt and Hertha Berlin. The excitement on the field in Orlando will be further intensified by the electric performance by Ivete Sangalo on the final day. We look forward to hosting fans of international soccer and music as we further solidify Orlando as THE destination for the global game.”

Bundesliga Exhibition in St. Petersburg
Kicking off the excitement of the 2020 Florida Cup will be a special Bundesliga exhibition match between German first division sides Eintracht Frankfurt, participants in the 2019 Florida Cup, and fellow Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin. The match will take place on Jan. 9 at Al Lang Stadium in St. Petersburg.  Event kickoff time and ticket information will be announced in the coming days.

To date, 26 international clubs have participated in the Florida Cup: Flamengo (BRA), São Paulo (BRA), Corinthians (BRA), Atlético Mineiro (BRA), Fluminense (BRA), Vasco da Gama (BRA), Bahia (BRA), Internacional (BRA), Ajax (NED), PSV Eindhoven (NED) , Eintracht Frankfurt (GER), Bayer Leverkusen (GER), Schalke 04 (GER), Wolfsburg (GER), FC Köln (GER), Shakhtar Donetsk (UKR), Estudiantes de La Plata (ARG), River Plate (ARG), Atlético Nacional (COL), Millonarios (COL), Santa Fe (COL), Barcelona (ECU), Fort Lauderdale Strikers (USA), Tampa Bay Rowdies (USA), Rangers FC (SCO) and Légia Warsaw (POL). 2020 newcomers Palmeiras and Spartak Moscow will be the 27th and 28th clubs to participate in the Florida Cup.
